Biggest ever Sarawak Regatta with 300 teams

KUCHING: This year’s Sarawak Regatta has been dubbed “the mother of all regattas” with more than 300 teams and nearly 7,000 participants.
Kuching resident Rodziah Morshidi said 387 teams had signed up for the event that takes place on Sarawak River here this weekend, including four from Sabah and one each from Brunei and West Kalimantan, Indonesia.“Last year, we had 200-plus teams, so there has been a marked increase in the number of teams this year,” she told a press conference.
